Not Medical Advice

Everything on GetMacroCalculator.com is provided for general information and education only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace guidance from a physician, registered dietitian or other qualified health professional who knows your history. Reading this site does not create a professional relationship between you and us.

Calculator Results Are Estimates

The macro calculator relies on established equations such as Mifflin-St Jeor, combined with activity multipliers and goal adjustments. Research comparing these predictions with measured energy expenditure shows that individual results can differ by roughly ten percent or more, and sometimes more. Metabolism, body composition, sleep, stress, medication, age and daily movement all play a part, and none of them can be seen by a calculator.

The right way to use a result is as a starting point. Follow it for two to three weeks, compare your weekly average body weight, waist measurement, training performance and hunger, and then adjust in small steps.

Who Should Talk to a Professional First

Please consult a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet if you:

Eating Disorders and Mindset

Counting calories and macros is not right for everyone. If tracking leaves you anxious, makes you skip meals, or feels hard to stop, put the numbers away and speak with a doctor or an eating disorder support service in your country. The calculator applies a minimum calorie floor, but a floor is not a prescription and it is not a safe target for every person.

Supplements and Medicines

Where our guides mention creatine, protein powder or any other supplement, the information is general. Supplements can interact with medicines and health conditions. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before starting one.

Food Values and Third-Party Information

Food macro figures on this site are rounded averages, mainly based on USDA FoodData Central. Brands, cuts, cooking methods and portion sizes change the real numbers, so always check the label of what you eat. We link to government and research pages so you can verify facts yourself. We do not control those sites.

No Guarantee of Results

Weight, body composition, health and performance depend on many things beyond calories and macros. We do not guarantee any result and we are not responsible for decisions you make based on the site.

Exercise and Injury

Any training mentioned on the site is general. Start gradually, use good technique and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or unusual symptoms. Get medical clearance before starting a new exercise program if you have a health condition.

Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure

GetMacroCalculator.com may show advertising, including Google AdSense, and may include affiliate links in the future. If a link is an affiliate link, we will say so. Advertisers do not influence calculator results or editorial content, and a product being advertised is not an endorsement.

Accuracy of Content

We work to keep our content accurate and current, but nutrition science changes and mistakes can still slip through. If you spot an error, tell us and we will review it.

In an Emergency

If you think you are having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services right away. Do not wait for information from this website.
